The Triumphant Tree..

The Triumphant Tree….

Heard the tired traveller; the lonely tree saying

‘Words are noble

Intentions are nobler,

But actions are noblest.’

The man looked at the tree in amazement,

It said…

Like your words of kindness in my praise

Yet you’ve dropped me dead.

The result of it is climate doom,

Birds and animals too, fret and fume.

Enough of your being vocal,

Expect more actions in real.

Present and future generations are in danger

All are frustrated and shout in anger,

I hang my head in shame

For being unable to teach and tame….

Now I appeal again,

Come forward and take a vow

To save yourself by saving me

Though it is difficult to replace that lost beauty

But a stitch in time saves nine.

The man uttered in remorse

 Forgive my callousness.

I pick the scattered strands and knit my landscape again.

The tree loved to watch the man come into action,

And his fellowmen join the convention.

The tree stood tall smiling at his victory.

Dreaming of the returning glory.

Reminded the triumphant tree again…

Do not be in love with words or speech,

Let your actions match what you preach.

So far, you have nourished your needs,

Now give way to the noble deeds.
